One of the best ways to show that you and the rest of your sorority sisters are all in a special event together is through the creation of event t-shirts. Of course, you also want to make sure these shirts look good, because if they don’t, you are going to hear about it form everyone in the sorority (and maybe even from those who are outside of the sorority). Because of this, you need to keep an eye out for an exceptional design and make sure you are always designing something that the majority of everyone is going to like. You probably are not able to create a shirt that 100 percent of everyone enjoys, but that is just something that is going to happen. Thankfully though, there are a few specifics you can keep in mind.
Chances are, you have receive a shirt from running a race, attending an event, finishing a challenge at a restaurant or any other location where the shirt is a one style fits all kind of thing. This would be fine, but your cut is not going to be the same as the cut of a man’s shirt, yet most of these ‘unisex’ shirts are designed for men to wear. You do not want to go with this route. You want to opt into a specific shirt that has a women’s cut. this way, everyone is going to be comfortable in the shirt and look good in the shirts as well. This way, you don’t have to worry about going with the ordinary, men’s cut shirt that many of the other sororities might end up going with.
Keep it Simple
One of the problems with people trying to design their own shirts is by overcomplicating the shirts. There are several different problems with this. For one, chances are you are not a graphics artist or clothing design major, which means you might not have the best eye for creating a full-fledged design that looks good on any piece of clothing. While this shouldn’t stop you from creating the very best shirt design for your group, you don’t want to go over the top. An over the top design is just going to look cluttered, which is going to reduce the quality of your shirt. Keep it simple and the meaning will be apparent to everyone who sees the shirt, not to mention it is going to look better that way as well.
White is Easy But Not Always the Best
White is a standard color for the text of most shirts. It is easy to use and is going to work with most designs, but it is not always going to be the best. You might want to consider using a shimmer color, such as a gold or a silver. You can even opt into a metallic look. This is a popular look and, while it might cost a bit more per shirt, is going to help you stand out from the rest of the pack.
